President Benigno Aquino III arrived from his two-day state visit to South Korea Friday night. In his arrival speech, Aquino boasted of the gains made during his trip, including the strengthened relations between the Philippines and South Korea, his meeting with South Korean business groups, and the additional investments of Korean companies already operating in the country. The President also gave his assurance of government's full support for victims of the Visayas quake and reiterated the sympathies and financial assistance coming from South Korea.
