Property and banking sectors boosted the Philippine Stock Exchange index back above the 6,200 level. The index jumped 2.06% to settle at 6,214.90. Among the day's gainers were banking stocks, Bank of the Philippine Islands (up 2.38% to P94.50); BDO Unibank (P75, up 1.01%); and Metrobank, P80.30, up 0.63%). This as a Bangko Sentral report showed the industry's exposure to real estate loans remains manageable. Alliance Global, Bloomberry and Belle Corp. also inched higher after getting "buy" recommendations from Deutsche Bank.
