Massive traffic snarls were witnessed in parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday morning, owing to full-dress rehearsals for the iconic republic day parade. Road traffic remained chock-a-block near Vijay chowk at around 9 in the morning and later worsened as the dry run moved towards Red Fort.
Meanwhile, the capital remains under a heavy security cover and more than 50,000 police personnel have been stationed in every nook and corner. In the run up to the d-day, Security personnel equipped with anti-aircraft guns are expected to take positions along high-rises in the city.
