China decided to halt US agricultural imports on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, after US President Donald Trump threatened to impose additional tariffs on Chinese goods.  US farmers already feeling the effects of the escalating trade war between the US and China are bracing for the impact of Beijing’s decision and looking to Washington for more financial support to keep them in business.
