Hundreds of Beatles fans congregated on Abbey Road's pedestrian crossing in St John's Wood, northwest London, to mark the 50th anniversary of the famous photo that adorned the album of the same name.

Tourists from the US and Canada explain why the Beatles mean so much to them - and why they had to mark the special anniversary by coming to London.

Beatles lookalikes also recreate the "Abbey Road" album cover by walking across the iconic pedestrian crossing.
