North Korea is extorting billions of dollars through cyber attacks against other countries.
The Tokyo-based Asahi Shimbun, citing the UN Security Council's expert panel, reported Monday... that since late 2015, North Korea has conducted 35 cyber attacks against financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges in at least 17 countries including India, Chile, and Nigeria.
The regime extorted 2-billion U.S. dollars... for its development of weapons of mass destruction.
According to the newspaper, there have been 15 cyber attacks against virtual currency exchanges since 2017... and 10 of them were against exchanges in South Korea.
