In protest against Japan's trade curbs, civic groups in Korea held a large candlelight rally on Saturday evening.
More than 15-thousand people from 6-hundred-and-80 civic groups gathered in front of the Japanese embassy.
Among other demands, they said South Korea should not renew its deal with Japan on sharing military intelligence.
They called Japan's removal of Korea from its whitelist a form of "economic invasion," and said they plan to hold a candellight rally every Saturday.
More than 10-thousand people are also expected to stage a protest on August 15th... Korea's Liberation Day... when the country regained its sovereignty in 1945,... after decades of Japan's oppressive colonial rule.
