Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa-led moved a confidence motion in the Assembly on Monday. Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the Karnataka chief minister for the fourth time on Friday, days after HD Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JD(S) coalition government collapsed after losing the trust vote in the House. Ahead of BJP’s floor test, Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar on Sunday disqualified 14 rebel MLAs.

అందరూ ఊహించిందే జరిగింది. కర్ణాటక ముఖ్యమంత్రి యడియూరప్ప ప్రవేశపెట్టిన విశ్వాస పరీక్షలో కమలం వికసించింది. బలపరీక్షలో భాజపాకు మద్దతుగా 106 ఓట్లు పడ్డాయి. మ్యాజిక్‌ ఫిగర్‌ కంటే రెండు ఓట్లు అదనంగా రావడంతో యడియూరప్ప బలపరీక్షలో గెలుపొందారు. మూజువాణి ఓటు ద్వారా ఆయన విశ్వాస పరీక్షలో నెగ్గినట్లు స్పీకర్‌ ప్రకటించారు. 17 మంది ఎమ్మెల్యేలపై అనర్హత వేటు పడటంతో సభలోని సంఖ్య 207 కు చేరింది. బల పరీక్షలో నెగ్గేందుకు కావాల్సిన సభ్యుల సంఖ్య 104. సొంత పార్టీ బలం 105తో పాటు ఒక స్వతంత్ర అభ్యర్థి మద్దతివ్వడంతో యడ్డీ విజయం లాంఛనమైంది. అనంతరం ఆర్థిక బిల్లుకు కూడా ఆమోదం లభించింది. ఆర్థిక బిల్లును ఆమోదించడానికి ఈ నెల 31 ఆఖరు తేది కాగా.. ఇప్పటి వరకు దీనిపై గందరగోళం నెలకొంది. ఆర్థిక బిల్లు ఆమోదం పొందిన నేపథ్యంలో ప్రభుత్వ కార్యకలాపాలన్నీ సజావుగా సాగేందుకు మార్గం సుగమమైంది.
