The central government has made a sensational decision to adopt a single ration card system across the country, with a single election simultaneously. The Center has announced the implementation of this policy throughout the country till June next year. However, this is already being done in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The ration portability trial run launched in Telangana state with the latest Center directive was successful.Officials want to implement the same card system from 1st August by setting up two clusters of Maharashtra and Gujarat, along with AP and Telangana. Officials express that ration portability is successful in Telangana as they have successfully rationed with ration portability.
