South Korea's trade minister is in Washington in a bid to win support from the U.S. as Seoul faces heightened tensions with Japan over Tokyo's trade curbs.
Arriving at Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday,... Yoo Myung-hee told reporters she will highlight that Japan's moves hurt the international economy as well as South Korea.
Minister Yoo also stressed the price of semiconductor components, especially D-ram chips have jumped 23 percent in just two weeks,... adding this could have big repercussions for the global economy.
She's expected to meet with various U.S. economic and trade leaders before departing later this week.
