President Moon Jae-in will hold a luncheon at the Blue House in a couple of hours,... with the ruling Democratic Party of Korea, including its floor leader Lee In-young.
He's expected to ask for the party's support in overcoming the current economic difficulties stemming from the trade dispute with Japan.
The meeting comes as the government is pushing to expand the pending multi-billion dollar supplementary budget bill,... mainly to enhance domestic firms' competitiveness in semiconductors and high-tech materials.
However, strong push back from the main opposition Liberty Korea Party means it's unclear if the bill will be approved before the end of July.
