During a press conference on Monday, Hong Kong's chief executive Carrie Lam condemned the recent outburst of violence in the city on Sunday night. A group of protesters vandalised Beijing’s Liaison Office on Hong Kong Island, and a rod-welding mob indiscriminately attacked protesters and passers-by travelling through the Yuen Long MTR station in the New Territories.
