Jerusalem, Jul 18 (EFE) , (Camera: Pablo Duer).- A mountain of rubble, without survivors. This is how Eir Amir Golán and Nati Guefen remember the terrifying landscape they found 25 years ago when they arrived in Buenos Aires after the attack on the main building of the Jewish community in Argentina, the most serious in the history of the country.
On July 18, 1994, a bomb car loaded with about 300 kilos of ammonium nitrate and gasoline blew up the headquarters of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) and the Delegation of Argentine Jewish Associations (DAIA).
Golan, now a pensioner but also an Army reservist, said that, as a commander, it is difficult to leave room for feelings: "You have to keep your Team in good spirits, working hard and doing the best they can."
The team included ten people, out of a total of some 25 soldiers who arrived to help, including doctors, mechanics and workers with rescue dogs.
