Meanwhile, Japan is denying that Korea requested a retraction of export restrictions.
In a press conference held Saturday, Tokyo's trade officials said they'd re-examined the minutes from last week's working-level talks and found no clear remarks from the Korean side requesting a retraction.
This directly contradicts what Korean officials said immediately after the meeting -- that they had asked Japan to remove the trade curbs.
Seoul has not yet remarked on Tokyo's latest comments.
