According to Reuters, China’s foreign ministry said that China hopes Canada understands the consequences of siding with the United States, after U.S. Vice President Mike Pence called for the release of two Canadians detained in China. The two men were detained by China shortly after Canada arrested Huawei's Chief Financial Officer on a U.S. warrant.
