The Lexus family is growing: as the Japanese premium brand has now officially confirmed, an open-top version of the flagship Lexus LC will be produced in the near future, with a foretaste of this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (4th July 7): A prototype of the Lexus LC Cabriolet starts on the traditional mountain route - and thus shows itself in action for the first time.
The motor racing meeting in the South of England traditionally attracts the most exclusive and prestigious new models as well as modern and classic sports cars. The future Cabriolet may not be missing there. Especially as the open version of the Grand Touring Coupe underlines the role of Lexus as a lifestyle brand and completes the flagship series.
The Lexus LC has quickly become one of the brand's most sought after and internationally acclaimed models. Responsible for this is his combination of distinctive design, unique craftsmanship and impressive performance. One possible extension of the range illustrated the Lexus LC Cabriolet concept vehicle, which was presented at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January in Detroit. The study followed the design approach of "perfected beauty" - and sparked enthusiasm among industry experts and the public alike. Like the closed equivalent of the Lexus LC, the open concept car also won the prestigious EyesOn Design Award on its debut.
