The Fourth of July fireworks were scaring Luna the dog when 5-year-old Landon noticed and came to the rescue, comforting the dog instead of catching the spectacular show.

“We can’t leave Luna, she's too scared!" he told his mother, and suggested using animal shows on TV as well as a weighted blanked to soothe the frightened pooch.

"They remained cuddled for hours. His process worked, and his empathetic nature received immense appreciation by not only the scared pup, but from me as well," said Landon's mother, Andrea.
