Two American missionaries were injured in a plane crash in Guatemala on Thursday (June 27).

Footage shows emergency services carrying the injured on a stretcher to a plane that later took them to a hospital in Guatemala City.

The plane had took off from Quiche department bound for Guatemala City's international airport when it crash-land in Chimaltenango department.

Aftermath footage shows the remains of the aircraft scattered on a field in Chimaltenango.

The Christian Mission Organisation for which the missionaries work, said that the plane had been recently repaired and had logged more than 15 flights.
