Firefighters are at the scene of a fire in the Lavapiés district of the Spanish capital.
Filmed on Friday (June 28), the smoke from the blaze has made visibility down Torrecilla del Leal Street extremely poor.
The filmer told Newsflare: "The fire is causing intense black smoke visible from several points in the centre of the capital.
"A person has been treated for smoke inhalation from a fire originating in the cover of a building of Lavapiés, that has been evicted.
"The fire, causes are unknown, begun about 12 hours this Friday on the roof of the building located at 219 Torrecilla del Leal Street.
"Ten firefighters units are trying to control the flames in order to avoid the fire spread the adjacent roofs."
