India's new External Affairs Minister hosted US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in New Delhi. This is the first visit by a foreign counterpart since Jaishankar took charge. Pompeo also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to set the stage for a bilateral between the Prime Minister and US President Donald Trump. Pompeo and Jaishankar discussed a wide-range of issues from trade to visas to Iran.
