Meghan Trainor found her latest single on Songland. On Tuesday night's episode of the songwriting competition series, the "All About That Bass" singer appeared as the musical guest, and she had some great songs to choose from. In this exclusive clip, songwriter Kole presents her song to the show's music producers in hopes of having it recorded by Trainor herself. Not only is the beat insanely catchy, but Trainor was also clearly impressed with the lyrics. Kole ended up winning the competition, and as a result, Trainor released her version of the song on YouTube.
The series, which first premiered in May, is giving up-and-coming songwriters the incredible opportunity to get discovered. After performing their song, they get to work with some of music's biggest producers, including Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean, and Shane McAnally, to cater their song for a specific artist. The Jonas Brothers recently appeared on the show, and their song "Greenlight," which was written by Able Heart, shot to No. 1 on iTunes shortly after.
