Obesity Rate
of US Preschoolers
Is Dropping, Says Study Published in the Journal
of the American Medical Association,
the results were reported by the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The data focused on
obesity rates in preschool children
who are receiving government food aid. It shows a drop
from 16% in 2010 to
about 14% in 2016. Doctors are hailing
the result as "substantial." Heidi Blanck, CDC,

vegetables and whole grains
to the aid programs could have
aided in the reported decline. According to researchers,
preventing childhood obesity
is important because it can
often lead to obesity in adulthood.
