Chinese tourist numbers in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang have reached record highs, with as many as 2,000 people going to the city per day. They pay about US$360 for a three-day trip. The flood of tourists has forced Pyongyang to impose a limit on arrivals, according to industry sources. The city will be the venue for a Xi-Kim summit on June 20, 2019, the first visit by a Chinese leader since Hu Jintao in 2005.
