The percentage of elderly people over the age of 65... who are either working or searching for employment... has hit a record-high here in Korea.
According to Statistics Korea,... the labor participation rate of seniors over 65... topped 35 percent in May,... marking the highest figure since relevant data started being collected in 1999.
Of the 7-point-six million Koreans over the age of 65,... 2-point-six million were employed,... and 63-thousand were unemployed.
