Methi Na Gota or Methi Pakora Recipe – Gujarati tea time snack made from besan (gram flour) and fenugreek leaves. Gota has a soft and spongy texture. It is a very popular snack from Gujarat. You will find this methi pakoda in every shop which sells snacks aka ‘Farsan’ in Gujarat. Apart from winter, it tastes best in monsoon. When it’s raining, you will see a big crowd at. For those who don’t know, methi is fenugreek leaves and Gota means pakoda or fritters.

Ingredients:
Oil
3-4 tbsp Gram Flour
2-3 tbsp Fenugreek Leaves
1 inch Ginger
3 Green Chillies (chopped)
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt
½ tbsp Eno
3-4 tbsp Warm Oil
Water
Method: Let’s start with heating up the Oil then add Gram Flour in the bowl with Fenugreek Leaves, Ginger, Green Chillies (chopped), Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt (as per taste). Next mix it all together then add Eno, with Warm Oil that we have heated. Mix it again properly then add Water. Now make the batter (as shown in the video) then make small fritters and fry them in the hot Oil. Fry them on low or Medium flame and your Gujarati special Methi Na Gota or Methi Pakoda is ready to serve.
