In case you somehow missed it, Keira Knightley, queen of period dramas, recently brought her immense talent to The Aftermath. And, lucky for you, we have an exclusive deleted scene from the film to celebrate its release on Digital on June 11 and on Blu-ray and DVD on June 25.
The 2019 war drama directed by James Kent stars the Colette actress as Rachael Morgan, the wife of a British colonel (Jason Clarke) who accompanies him on assignment to live in Hamburg during the post-World War II reconstruction efforts in 1946. In addition to contending with a bitter Winter, Rachael also discovers that the home her husband has chosen for them is a grand estate still occupied by its previous owner - a German widower (Alexander Skarsgard) and his troubled daughter. In the close quarters, passion soon gives way to a dangerous affair.
In our exclusive clip from the film, which didn't make the final cut, you'll be able to see Rachael visiting her friend Susan (Kate Phillips) at her home in Hamburg. Like Rachael, her new digs were previously owned by a German family who were pushed out as a result of the British occupation. Watch it above, and be sure to pick up a copy of The Aftermath for yourself this month!
