U.S. President Donald Trump will continue to try to communicate with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un as Washington looks to defuse simmering tensions following February's failed North Korea-U.S. summit in Hanoi.

The U.S. State Department says North Korea should remain engaged, and refrain from provocations... such as missile tests.
