The South Korean government is continuing all-out efforts to prevent African swine fever from entering the nation.
Last Thursday, a case of the virus was confirmed at a farm in North Korea's Jagang-do Province.
Since then,... South Korea's agriculture ministry has designated ten areas close to the border as special management zones and implemented quarantine measures.
Gangwon-do Province, which borders North Korea, conducted an inspection of 118 farms in 5 cities...and aims to complete additional quarantine measures by the end of this month.
