Aussie electronic/dance trio SAFIA chat to the AU review about their SXSW experience so far, the reactions to their music and their plans for after Austin. Doing a total of 6 shows at SXSW, the group said that so far, there'd been "a lot of sweating..." with the amount of running around they'd been doing.

When asked about the reactions to their music from the US audience, they felt confident: "Our music is dance electronica but hidden underneath that are pop songs and blue songs, soul songs... So even the listener who hasn't really heard our style of music before can still relate to it... so it crosses over quite well..."

Showcases at SXSW offer artists as well as the audience a chance to discover new music. On collaborations and their international repertoire the trio said: "We've been lucky enough to work with a bunch of people here already... The first week we were here we did stuff with people like Tommy Trash, Hook and Sling... There's been a lot of opportunities for that... We'll see where it goes."
