Huawei Technologies founder Ren Zhengfei said in an interview with Chinese state media that he foresaw the tech giant’s clash with the US government. Ren said it was just a matter of time before the telecommunications equipment maker threatened US interests and prompted retaliation. But Ren insisted that the blacklisting of Huawei by the United States will not affect the company’s plans for developing 5G technology.
