Nature and animal lovers delight in visiting Madagascar, and they're often spoilt for choice on this, the fifth largest island in the world. Its capital city, Antananarivo is home to rich colonial architecture, diverse and colourful open markets, but also two major zoos (Lemur’s Park and Parc de Tsimbazaza). Trekking and hiking opportunities are popular in the hills and mountains alongside. Ranomafana National Park is the country's largest natural park with a huge, unique ecological imprint that covers 160 square miles. Visitors can stay and camp for up to three days. Tsingy de Bemaraha is a landscape populated with deep canyons, gorges. The limestone is constantly being eroded and rebuilt into incredible shapes by the dissolution of soluble rocks. Avenue of the Baobabs is a conservation zone epitomized by its enormous, 800ft bamboo trees and the pure natural wilderness which surrounds it. The best beaches are found on the island of Nosy Be where tourists flock for the beautiful surrounding scenery are as well as the exploration of Madagascar's dense coral reefs.
