美, 중동평화 위한 경제계획 내달 공개…'한국이 롤모델'
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the first part of his Middle East peace plan, which is to open a workshop to encourage investment in the region.
The White House will reportedly hold an economic workshop in Manama, Bahrain for two days from June 25th, to discuss the plan led by Trump's son-in law and senior White House adviser, Jared Kushner.
The Trump administration hopes to make the area appealing to investors by focusing on infrastructure, industry and governance reforms.
Kushner is said to have modeled details of the proposal on successful projects in South Korea, Poland, Japan and Singapore.
The peace plan, however, has been put together without participation from the Palestinians, who have rejected it, claiming it's heavily biased towards Israel.
