When I was in the job market, I never felt anyone looked out for job seekers. That's because today's job seeking world is run by recruiters, HR managers and hiring managers. As a result, there are a lot of myths, misconceptions and sometimes, downright lies putting the job seeker at a great disadvantage. "Job Hunting Secrets (from someone who's been there)" was written to level that playing field. For example, the books starts with the 12 lies told to job seekers; how "uninformed" friends and family can add months to your job search; and how today's news produces fear instead of information. My editor said the book is jammed with helpful information. That was my goal. Here's what people said about my other writing, my LinkedIn posts... "Best advice I've read in a long time." Karen Parsons, Development Manager "Best LinkedIn article in the last year. Thank you." Sally Field, President and Owner, Sky's the Limit Coaching and Consulting "To be honest, I've never read such a comprehensive article on the art of job searching. I can imagine you conducted tons of research to compile your finished piece. This will not only become a reference for those seeking a job but for those who are employed and wish to assist their job seeking friends. Thank you for providing this information to the public for free."
