presidential pardon on Tuesday. The reporters were arrested in 2017 while investigating the
killing of Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State. The plight of the Pulitzer-prize-winning pair
gained international attention as an indicator of the limits on freedom of expression and
democratic rights in Myanmar.
