Ahead of a rally "to defend Islam" this Saturday, Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has warned that police will take stern action against those who insult any religion.
Commenting on the rally organised by Gerakan Pembela Ummah (Ummah), Muhyiddin said he saw the demonstration as a possible attempt to incite Muslims.
"(This rally) appears inclined to fan racial and religious sentiments, especially among Muslims.
"As the home minister, the ministry through the police will not hesitate to take stern action in accordance with the law towards anyone who insults any religion," Muhyiddin said at a joint interview in Putrajaya on Thursday.
