내일부터 전국 4만여개 편의점서 제로페이 결제된다
Starting tomorrow, smartphone payment system called "Zero Pay" becomes fully operational at 43-thousand convenience stores nationwide.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said customers will now be able to pay using QR codes saved on their smartphones in all major convenience stores, including CU, GS25 and Seven Eleven.
Zero Pay relieves small businesses from the burden of paying credit card transaction fees which can go up to 1-point-9 percent,.. with its fees below Point-5 percent.
Consumers are also offered a 40 percent refund on their income tax deductions.
The ministry plans to expand the service to 70 different franchises within this month.
