생활에 가까워지는 5G 오피스, 호텔, 미디어 체험관

Earlier this month, South Korea became the first country in the world to launch a commercial 5G mobile network.
There's a lot of excitement about what it can do, running 20 times faster than previous technology.
Our Oh Soo-young looks at what this speed could mean for our everyday lives.
The pace of life gets 20 times faster in the middle of South Korea's bustling Gangnam area.
A pop-up center is showcasing the network's capabilities,... and has attracted more than 50 thousand people in the first two weeks since it opened earlier this month.
Using VR goggles that run seamlessly on 5G, you can star in your favourite K-Pop performances and even find a celebrity companion to go on a virtual date with.
"It's so three-dimensional. I can even see the wrinkles "
You can play online games and watch sports in real time from various angles and through the eyes of multiple players.
"It was a lot more immersive and visceral and it was easy to play as well. Pretty quick. There was no lag or anything like that. It was just like playing on a game console, you know."
Taking a break at a hotel is also expected to become an upgraded experience.
At an AI hotel in Eastern Seoul, powered by KT Corporation, most room service functions ,... like amenities and controlling the air conditioning,... are already available on demand through AI,... and of course the most important thing.....
"What is the wifi password?"
KT plans to enhance these sevices even more with the introduction of 5G robots this year.
"5G robots will deliver the amenities or services ordered by the AI speaker, which currently runs on English and Korean. We plan to add Japanese and Chinese this year,... as well as introduce our hotel solution to Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Hong Kong."
Telecom firms have also introduced 5G offices, restaurants and even concerts that run on the super-fast network.
However,... for such services to work seamlessly,... more 5G base stations need to be installed throughout the country,... and potential security issues need to be addressed.
