Beto O'Rourke Announces
$5 Trillion Climate Crisis Plan O’Rourke has released a four-pillar framework to
combat the issue of climate change, marking the
first major policy proposal of his campaign. He has always been outspoken on climate
change being the “greatest threat” to our nation. Beto O’Rourke,
via statement O’Rourke proposed executive action
within his first 100 days as president, such as rejoining the Paris climate
agreement, raising efficiency standards
and strengthening hazardous waste limits. He also detailed long term action such as
creating more national parks and setting a
net-zero emissions carbon budget for federal land. O’Rourke plans to allot $5 trillion over a
10 year period to upgrade infrastructure,
