Disgruntled jet employees and their families held a candle march protest at the Jantar Mantar today in an outcry against shutting down of operations of the airlines until further notice after the beleaguered airline management failed to obtain emergency funds to save itself from bankruptcy. Meanwhile, news pouring in, a jet employee from Nala Sopara, Mumbai, committed suicide following prolonged illness. He had been suffering from stomach cancer. He belonged to Mumbai’s Nalasopara area. The police are probing if there were any other reasons for him committing suicide.
