Kirit Pradyot Deb Barman Manikya Bahadur, also known as P.B.K Manikya born on July 4, 1978, is a public figure from the Indian state of Tripura. He is the son of the last king of Tripura. He heads the royal house of Tripura and the sole heir of the over 800-year-old Manikya dynasty. This young ruler is a history graduate from Shillong's St. Anthony's College. He was crowned at the age of 28, in 2006, soon after his father died. His father was the last independent king of the Manikya dynasty. In Tripura, Burman is addressed by many as Maharaja or "Bubaghra" which is the equivalent of the word for ruler in Kokborok, a local language.

Barman is responsible for the launch of The Northeast Today, a magazine targeted at residents of the northeastern states of India. Besides, he is also the Chairman of the Royal Heritage Hotel, Member of All India Congress, Chairman and Editor of The Northeast Today magazine, Advisor to the North East Students Committee in Delhi, Advisor to the North East Regional Development Association (NERDA), Member of governing council Tripura Central University and the Chairman of the Royal Tripura Foundation.

The North East Tamchon Football Trophy is held every year in New Delhi organized by the Tangkhul Naga Society Delhi (TNSD). This tournament is held in memory of (L) Mr. R.N.Tamchon, ACP, Delhi Police under the motto "Excellence with truth and dignity". The tournament is organized on invitational basis with sixteen teams from all North Eastern Region including Sikkim. The main objective of the trophy is to promote unity, friendship, understanding and sportsmanship amongst the people of North East of India. At the same time it aims to provide opportunity to talented football players to display their potential. This year, the winner will be awarded with the North East Tamchon Trophy in addition to Rs. 5.00 lakhs cash prize, medals and certificates. The trophy can be owned by any team who wins the trophy consecutively for three years and the runners up will be awarded with medals, certificates and cash prizes of Rs. 3.00 lakhs and Rs. 2.00 lakhs respectively. The quarter finalists will also be awarded with Rs. 25,000 and individual prizes.
