THE GO ROUNDS ARE BITS OF ALL YOUR FAVORITE BANDS EXPLODED INTO ROCK N ROLL CONFETTI. THEIR UNIQUE BRAND OF PSYCHEDELIC AMERICANA POP CROSSES, BLENDS, AND DECONSTRUCTS GENRES; FROM INDIE TO COUNTRY TO ART-ROCK AND BAROQUE FOLK; CREATING AN ACCESSIBLE AND ENGAGING EXPERIENCE THAT WILL LEAVE YOU TALKING.
THE BEST OF WHAT’S NEXT: “The Go Rounds are bringing a head-clearing common sense to the sometimes senseless head-banging of rock ‘n’ roll. Or maybe they’re here to exterminate cynicism.” – Paste Magazine
The Kalamazoo quartet has been a dominant force in the Michigan music landscape for the last 5 years, releasing 4 LPs, 4 EPs, and playing countless Great Lakes music festivals including Wheatland Music Festival, Blissfest, Hoxeyville Music Festival, Earthwork Harvest Gathering, Farmblock Fest, Short’s Anniversary XII, Buttermilk Jamboree, Farmfest, Founder’s Fest, DunnDunn Fest, Traverse City Microbrew and Music Fest, Mile of Music, and Holler Fest. Some of the major acts The Go Rounds have supported include Greensky Bluegrass, Hard Working Americans, Vulpeck, Billy Strings, Keller Williams, Bruce Hornsby, Arlo Guthrie, Asleep at the Wheel, Mickey Hart, and Railroad Earth.
The songs are catchy, twangy, and trippy – led by the creative force of frontman Graham Parsons, whose spellbinding vocals weave through lush sonic textures as the band puts on a master class of intricate arrangements. Their powerful and dynamic live show has earned them a reputation as one of the best live bands in the Midwest.
Their last full-length, Don’t Go Not Changin’, made several year end best lists and earned them 3 WYCE awards, including the Special Jury Prize of Album of the Year. Their creativity shows no sign of slowing down. In August, they released a new EP, I Promise I Won’t Get Hurt, and have another EP ready for release. They are also working on their next full length – due out before the end of 2017.
