Following a massive forest fire that swept across the eastern province of Gangwon-do on Thursday evening,... authorities have confirmed the scale of the damage.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters said Sunday that the death toll remains unchanged at one,... while more than 700 people have been forced to leave their homes.
They have been currently placed in 21 temporary shelters.
Also, disaster authorities say four-hundred-and-one homes,... one-hundred buildings and sixty-eight public facilities had gone up in smoke.
More than 200 farming machinery and fifteen cars were also destroyed in the blaze.
