The United States is cutting off aid to three Central American countries -- El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras -- for failing to stop illegal migration.
The announcement on Saturday came a day after President Trump claimed those countries, known as the "Northern Triangle," had set up caravans of migrants.
The State Department said, at the instruction of Secretary Mike Pompeo, that it's ending foreign assistance programs to them.
Tens of thousands of people have left those countries for the U.S. to escape poverty and violence.
