NFL WR Jordy Nelson
Announces His Retirement The 33-year-old wideout steps away from the game after an 11-year career. Earlier this month, Nelson was
cut by the Raiders, who he played
with in his last season. Nelson began his career in 2008 after being picked in the second round
of the NFL Draft. The Kansas State product went
on to become one of Green Bay's
most recognizable receivers. In 2011, the Pro Bowler won his
only Super Bowl with the Packers. With 1,519 receiving yards, Nelson also broke the
team record in 2014 for the most in a single season. Nelson accumulated 613 receptions in his career, 72 of which were for touchdowns. He also amassed
8,587 total receiving yards
over 151 games played.
