Cases were booked against the Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary P muralidhar Rao and eight others in Saroornagar police station on Monday. The cases were booked on the basis of a complaint lodged by Talla Pravarna Reddy that the BJP leaders had taken Rs 2.17 Crore from her by promising to secure her a nominated post. The accused were identified as a Krishna Kishore, V eshwar reddy, Manda Ramachandra Reddy, Gajula Hanumantha Rao, Sama Chandrashekar Reddy, Baba, Srikanth, P Muralidhar Rao and G Srinivas. She, in her complaint, also alleged that the signature of the then Union Minister for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman was forged.
