Spring is just around the corner, with flowers already blooming.
But people of Korea are not all smiles about it, as it has now become a common sense that with the warmth, comes the fine dust.
To tell us more on the worsening fine dust pollution in Korea and possible solutions, Professor Dong Jong-in , from the Department of Environmental Engineering at University of Seoul now joins us in the studio.

1. According to recent reports, Korea suffered the highest level of fine dust pollution among OECD member nations. The reports were soon refuted by the Korean government which asserted that Korea showed 74th highest concentration of fine dust out of 184 countries in 2017. How do you assess the fine dust levels in Korea?
2. To people of Korea, spring is no longer a season to go out, enjoy the breeze and beautiful cherry blossoms. Rather, it became a season to avoid outdoor activities as much as possible. How bad do you forecast the fine dust levels to be this spring?
3. China is often named as the biggest culprit for Korea's suffocating fine dust pollution. But China argues otherwise, saying Korea's heating system is the main reason behind Korea's high level of fine dust. Can heating system really generate that much fine dust?
4. What would you say... are the biggest origins of fine dust within South Korea?
5. China's foreign ministry, not environment ministry, is now at the forefront of tossing the fine dust blame back to Korea. To this, some argue that we should take the issue to the global stage. Your take?
6. Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is to head a new anti-pollution government organization to tackle the problem. Do you think Ban will be of big help in resolving the matter diplomatically?
7. Many experts are now turning to past cross-border air pollution disputes to get some answers. Could you tell us what kind of international disputes there were in the past, and how they resolved the issue?
8. The Korean government has laid out a few countermeasures, namely LPG vehicles, air purifiers in schools and designation of fine dust pollution as a social disaster. But many remain skeptical about how effective these measures would be in clearing up the air. Your thoughts?
9. Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon embarked on his trip to Mongolia and China, and he's set to hold talks with Chinese premier Li Keqiang. What kind of talks on fine dust would the two share, and how should Seoul and Beijing cooperate to tackle fine dust issue?
