Il francese Julian Alaphilippe della Deceunick – Quick-Step ha vinto la 110a edizione della Milano Sanremo presented by Namedsport battendo il belga Oliver Naesen (AG2R La Mondiale), il suo rivale storico Michal Kwiatkowski (Team Sky) e Peter Sagan (Bora – Hansgrohe) in una volata ristretta ad un gruppetto di dieci corridori formatosi sul Poggio, seguendo un attacco iniziato dal vincitore stesso. È il terzo ciclista a centrare la doppietta Strade Bianche – Milano-Sanremo consecutivamente dopo Fabian Cancellara nel 2008 e Kwiatkowski nel 2017.

France’s Julian Alaphilippe of Deceunick – Quick-Step won the 110th edition of the Milano Sanremo presented by NamedSport as he outsprinted Belgium’s Oliver Naesen (AG2R La Mondiale), arch-rivals Michal Kwiatkowski (Team Sky) and Peter Sagan (Bora – Hansgrohe) in a front group of ten riders that took shape on the Poggio following attacks made by the eventual winner. He’s the third rider to win Strade Bianche and Milano-Sanremo back to back after Fabian Cancellara in 2008 and Kwiatkowski in 2017.
