Samsung Electronics is seeking new growth areas in 5G, AI and other network equipment as sales of its mainstay chips and smartphones begin to fall.
In its annual general meeting on Wednesday, the firm's co-Vice Chair Kim Ki-nam... said the tech giant expects a tough year amid slowing economic growth and decreasing demand for semi conductors... and vowed to invest in new technologies.
Samsung plans to pay 8-and-a-half billion dollars in dividends this year.
The tech firm posted 2-hundred-16 billion U.S. dollars in sales and 52 billion in operating profits in 2018 thanks to its record chip sales.
