Senior party leader Tom Vadakkan joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in a jolt to the Congress a month before India goes to polls in the presence of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Vadakkan stated that he was upset with Congress' stand on the Pulwama attack, in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
