Rep. Joe Cunningham used an air-horn in a hearing to highlight how disruptive seismic air gun testing is for marine life.

He went on to explain a seismic air gun is 16,000 times louder and can go on every 10 seconds 'for days, weeks, months.'

Cunningham put questions to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration which has given five companies the right to conduct seismic air gun testing.
